The Penguins squad focuses on building the foundations of competitive swimming while helping young swimmers develop confidence, discipline and commitment within a supportive club environment.

As part of the KUHSC academy pathway, Penguins provides the next step for swimmers progressing from learning basic skills to beginning structured club training. Sessions focus on developing stroke technique, improving fitness and learning key training behaviours such as lane etiquette and listening to coaches.

The squad also introduces swimmers to the club’s competitive environment, encouraging participation in club galas and events. Penguins helps prepare swimmers for progression into the club’s higher development and performance squads as their skills and commitment grow.
