Kingston Upon Hull Swimming Club delivered an outstanding set of performances across the 2026 Yorkshire Swimming Association Championships, held over two weekends in Leeds and Sheffield.
Competing against the strongest swimmers in the county, KUHSC athletes secured six podium finishes, including a county title, alongside fifteen finalist performances across the eleven-session programme.
🥇 County Champion
Oscar Focht led the way with a superb Gold medal in the 200m Individual Medley (14 yrs), demonstrating excellent race control and composure to secure the county title.
🥈 Silver Medal Performances
Silver medals were achieved by:
Diola Oriowo – 100m Backstroke (10/11 yrs)
George Harrison – 200m Individual Medley (15 yrs)
Oscar Focht – 100m Breaststroke (14 yrs Final)
🥉 Bronze Medal Performances
Bronze medals were secured by:
Lewis Hall – 200m Individual Medley (15 yrs)
Zac Baughan-Withington – 200m Individual Medley (16 yrs)
Strong Finalist Presence
Beyond the podium, Kingston swimmers consistently placed within the top 10 across multiple age groups and events. Highlights included:
Finalist finishes in the 400m Individual Medley from Zac Baughan-Withington (4th), Dylan Hill (5th), Joseph Pickering (6th) and George Harrison (10th)
Sprint finalist placings from Diola Oriowo in both 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke
A 4th place finish for Lea Sibova in the 100m Freestyle (15 yrs)
4th place in the 50m Backstroke (12 yrs) from Adele Dikal

The breadth of results across age groups and strokes highlights the continued development of the squad and the strength of the club’s pathway.
