JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT

The Junior Development squad supports swimmers as they continue progressing through the KUHSC pathway, building on the skills developed in the academy squads while introducing a stronger focus on fitness, stamina and competitive swimming.

As swimmers move into this stage, they are expected to show increasing commitment to regular training and a desire to improve their skills and performance. Sessions focus on refining stroke technique across all strokes, developing endurance and helping swimmers build the confidence needed to compete.

Swimmers are encouraged to take part in club competitions and galas, gaining valuable race experience while continuing to develop their training habits, discipline and teamwork within the squad environment.

The Junior Development squad prepares swimmers for progression into the club’s higher development and performance squads as their ability, commitment and competitive experience continue to grow.
